New Patches Sampler

Well I loved doing the Garde Sampler so much I decided to do it in another colorway. I think I like these colors together better than the first project. I e already got the top row done😀

here is the Watercolors skeen I’m basing all my colors from.

It’s called mountain breeze. Lila is enjoying some much needed rest and off time snoozing while I stitch. She is just so precious.

Patches is finished

I finished my Garden Sampler yesterday and can hardly wait to show you so without further ado....

here it is sitting proudly on the rocker.

And I had a birthday over the weekend though I was sick with the flu all day long and the next two days as well. Yesterday was the first day in a while I actually felt better.

Here is all the goodies

Hand overdyed wool from Yarn Barn. It was super inexpensive.

DMC linen floss was on cleared everything for only $1 per skeen.

The other day I kitted up some new projects and some old WIPS. The first one is a design I did with the help of some lovely ladies from the Stitchers Village. This is a band sampler. It isn’t finished but when I do I will be offering it free of charge to the stitchers village members. I still need to chart it out and finish the border. I may add a few more bands as well I’m not sure.

Here it is and now here are some close ups of the bands followed by the notes we all submitted.

The ladies did such lovely Stitching. We did this as a Round Robin and took turns adding to it. If you read the notes you will be able to see who stitched what.

I can’t say I have a favorite one. They are all absolutely beautiful.

My design started with this leaf stitch using Caron’s watercolors.

I did these as well.

And I finished with this bargello.

I love the colors in both of these.

And now for the notes starting with the one I wrote.

Soon enough I will finish it off and publish the pattern to be enjoyed by all the members.

More progress and prayer request

How is everyone doing today. Well seems our Lord feels we need a test of faith as a week ago Jim fell at the bank from improperly cleared parking lot. He completely tore his quad tendon from the knee and is having surgery on Thursday. He can use all the prayers you can muster as he has never had surgery and never stayed overnight in the hospital. Please pray for peace of mind and a perfect result from the surgery as he needs to be better to go on tour in May.

Here above is the shawl my sister Pam made for me the other day. I just love it and it’s in the same color way as the sampler. I do love mauve and sage green.
